This is one of those books that's been on my Kindle forever but somehow never made it to the top of the TBR. I'm really mad about that right now because this book was awesome! I LOVE hockey and LOVE MM even more so this was the perfect book for me.Turns out that Mike and Alexei's story was so much more than I expected. It was really hot (which I also love) but what really got me was the tentative friendship that grew into intense attraction and changed into a loving relationship. I loved Alexei's dominance and Mike's innocence. And it cracked me up when Mike got extra protective of Alexei on the ice. I just loved them together.And I hated Mike's parents. Every time they turned up and started harassing Mike about dating/marrying/impregnating their friend's daughters, I was torn between wanting to hurl and wanting to reach into my Kindle to smack the ever-loving-crap out of them. They made me so angry. Parents who push their agenda on their kids without bothering to ask how they feel make me sick. It's disgusting. Let him live his own life. Second, the whole "Mike owes us" mentality that his parents had and them thinking that he should send most of his money to them to help support them and pay for his sister's schooling is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard. I'm not sure why his father was working such a crappy job but part of being a parent is self-sacrifice. If he wants his son to be a pro hockey player and his daughter to go to a really great school, then he should have been working his fingers to the bone to make it happen and not be expecting Mike to do it.Now that I got that off my chest, I think my hatred of Mike's parents made me love Mike that much more. I wanted to step in and be the mom he deserved to have.
