I have gotten quite a lot of use and success with this book. I trained a 3 month old puppy several basic obedience commands in less than 2 weeks!However I was really hoping that this book would have more practical/skill training tips and instead it has a lot of circus, show random tricks... Basically it teaches you how to train your dog to do entertaining tricks and only has a handful of what I would call "useful" commands... BUT, I am training a dog to be a service dog, not just for fun. So this book may be exactly what you are looking for if you have a pet that you want to teach fun things.Lastly, you can't beat the bond that this book creates between you and your dog. As I trained mine, I noticed how she became a confident pupper who gets so excited each time we figured out a trick together.
